I was recently interviewed by Authority Magazine for their series, "5 Things You Need To Do To Achieve A Healthy Body Weight, And Keep It Permanently."

It was an extremely fun and thought-provoking interview that delves into random aspects of my personal background as well as my guidance on working toward and maintaining a healthy body weight--both in terms of weight loss and weight gain. Besides my "5 Things" recommendations, I also discuss what a healthy body weight is, why obtaining it is important, challenges you may face in working toward your healthy body weight goals, and best practices in retaining a healthy weight.

Be open to change and the work involved to achieve it: This recommendation is first because it sets the stage for modifying your weight and maintaining it. Essentially, you mentally need to be at a point where you want the change for yourself and are prepared to put in the work to make it happen. If you’re uncertain, indifferent, or being pushed by others to alter your weight, the likelihood is that you won’t succeed. As the adage goes, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”
