What is Sustainable Health and Wellness Coaching?
The word “sustainable” has two meanings in my sustainable health and wellness coaching:
Create lasting and enduring health changes, and
Foster personal health and wellness changes that also align with the environmental health of our planet.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to my coaching. Lifestyle choices like veganism, eating organic food, or using non-toxic personal care products are good sustainable health and wellness practices, but they are not for everyone.
As a coach, I don’t advocate for any one way of creating sustainable health and wellness in your life. Using my knowledge in sustainability and health, I work with you to explore the range of possibilities; determine what your unique, healthy lifestyle looks like; and assist you in achieving that vision.
How It Works
My sustainable health and wellness coaching program is a one-on-one, online and interactive approach to exploring your health concerns and providing support to help you better achieve your health goals.
During health and wellness coaching, we cover the following steps:
Assess your current diet, nutrition, household health, and personal care activities to pinpoint areas for progress. If you're interested in exercise and fitness, a separate fitness assessment is performed.
Work with you to establish a vision of what healthy living looks like for you.
Collaborate with you to create a plan to achieve your vision of healthy living and monitor your progress along the way.
Inform you using evidence-based research, sharing resources from recognized health and nutrition organizations.
Give you encouragement and support to help you improve your lifestyle habits.
By leveraging your strengths, we work together to establish health goals that make sense and make it easier for you to reach them.

Diet and Nutrition
A sustainable diet can range from veganism to organic meat-eating. With an emphasis on clean eating and food as medicine, I help you explore your eating habits and develop new routines--like grocery shopping, cooking, dining out, and others--to manage your weight and promote disease-free, healthy living.
Household & Personal Care
Good health also consists of minimizing your exposure to environmental hazards, chemicals, and toxins in your household and in the personal care products that you use. I help you examine your living environment or personal care habits to pinpoint areas that may be adversely affecting your health and develop a plan for you to live a cleaner life.
Exercise and Fitness
Exercise is a key component of good health, and doing it sustainably means engaging in physical activity on a regular basis and using environmentally-friendly equipment if possible. As a certified personal trainer, I help you establish workouts that you enjoy tailored to your unique fitness level, guide your training, and motivate you to achieve your fitness goals.
